Hey guys, John Ortiz with BigYield.us. Today we’re gonna be discussing some of the products that we’re gonna start including in the BigYield portfolio and lineup.
Last year you heard us discussing some products and some research that we were doing with a company out of Spain. The ROI on those things, were pretty excellent actually. It’s something that met our requirements and standards to be considered a BigYield product and incorporate in the things that we’re doing thing. This product is a foliar application that can apply either V3-V5, R1-R3 just like some of those other products that we’ve been doing at those times. Yield data was out of this world. To be honest with you, we had to cut back because it was that good, just so it would be believable for you all.
But again, the ROI was there, it met our model, and we are very excited to see where this things goes and excited to get it on to your farms for you all to try and incorporate into some of the things that you’re going to be doing.
Again, you can apply it to R1-R3 when you’re going to foliar, or V3-V5 when you make that first herbicide application. So roughly 21 to25 days after planting is typically when a lot of guys will spray their first herbicide. This is a product that can go in there with it.
One of the other products that we’re gonna be looking at is a seed treatment. It’s a liquid treatment as well. We’re working on the rates right now. Right now it’s currently 4oz per 100 weight for soybeans. It’s something that you can possibly/hopefully get from your local seed supplier. We’re working with a couple companies on that to try and get that out on the marketplace as well.
We’ve got some more studies that we’re gonna be doing this year, and hopefully we see the same numbers that we saw last year.
