Hi, this is Blake Thibault at BigYield. I am going to be your new account manager. I’ll be helping Mr. John Ortiz with the crop yield enhancements here at BigYield.
A little bit more about my background, I was born and raised on a farm in north-central Kansas, where I still love going back and helping my dad farm. I’m a very avid outdoorsman as well.
Previously, before coming here to BigYield, I helped guys manage their risk by teaching them different tools and strategies to use – whether it was with their cash grain, or using the futures and options side of things. That kind of ties in really well with my passions and interests of helping serve farmers, and I really enjoy learning. Here at BigYield, there is obviously tons of stuff to learn, whether it be out on the research farm or just working under John, Bill, or Dale.
It’s an exciting time of the year, and that kind of leads me in to asking what is your plan for this upcoming year? I know when I was coaching football, after every game or at the end of the season my brain was always turning about making adjustments and how I can better myself and my players. Just like out there on the farm, when you are harvesting, be thinking about what adjustments or goals you have in mind for this upcoming crop season.
